Step 1
Site Survey & Design Consultation
Every treehouse begins with a conversation, a sketch, a picture, a story, or something you provide that helps us feel your vision and understand your goals for the project.
We want to get to know you so that we don’t apply a one-size-fits-all approach to your project. We’ve built tree houses for over 20 years and so we will bring creative ideas and expertise to your location, but we also want to breath life into your unique dream.
We want to take your vision and goals and your proposed location to create a project that is fully costed, structurally sound, functional and attractive.
Depending on your requirements, we can also create professional artists 3D CAD impressions of your proposed ideas and estimates based on pictures and measurements we collect during the site visit. We really do go all out for our customers!

Step 2
Agreeing The Design & Budget
Step 2 is about taking your vision and goals and your proposed location to create a project that is fully costed, structurally sound, functional and attractive.
Depending on your requirements, we can also create professional artist impressions of your proposed ideas and estimates based on pictures and measurements we collect at the site visit. For larger projects, we also recommend the use of full 3D ‘walk through’ animations that help visualise the proposed project.
Please note, artist drawings and 3D visualisations are additional costs that are refundable from the cost of the project, where we are commissioned & complete the project.
There are many questions that arise. Here are some you may want to think about…
- What are your exact requirements? Is this for adults? Children? Or perhaps children at the moment, but then later you would consider changing into something for yourself? You need to think about all the possibilities and make sure it’s something that can last you a lifetime.
- How much space do you have? Obviously, there has to be enough space not only for the structure but also to safely use it without risking falling or injury. This is why a site visit is important.
- What are your budgets? Whether this is a big or small project, realistic budgets are essential. So have a good idea before a site visit how much you could realistically spend. We can design your treehouse to suit your absolute perfect price.
- Do you have the right tree, or one that will outlive you and is strong enough to support your project?
Step 3
Order
Once the design is set, we create an agreement that spells out all of the terms necessary to define your project and the costs. We are able to commit to fixed pricing in most cases.
The cost of a treehouse will vary greatly. It all depends on the design and how much materials are used. All treehouses are totally unique. They can cost between £4,000 and £50,000+, depending on whether it’s a childs treehouse or a luxury living space.
Once requirements are agreed, we ask for 50% of the project cost to be paid on confirming your order, with the balance due on completion. Your build will then be scheduled and the exciting part begins!

Step 4
Construction
We typically provide a comprehensive construction service for our clients – that means that we can take care of everything from start to finish. However, we are also well placed to work with local additional trades if required.
Our expert master carpenters will impress you with their skill and attention to detail and commitment to converting your dreams into reality.
Step 5

Can you work from my designs?
We love it when our clients are creative! We will do our best to work from your designs and work with you every step of the way. The first step to owning your own dream bespoke treehouse is to get in touch with our team and share your ideas!
Do I need planning permission?
Planning applications start from £150 and it is likely that you will also need to provide detailed drawings and even Ordnance Survey maps showing the exact location of the treehouse so that planning officials can assess the impact on surrounding properties.

How much does it cost?
Once requirements are agreed, we ask for 50% of the project cost to be paid on confirming your order, with the balance due on completion. Your build will then be scheduled and the exciting part begins!

How long will it take to build my treehouse?
How much does it cost for a site visit?
We get a lot of requests for site surveys, so we make a nominal charge for surveys that we happily refund on completion of your project with us.
Zip wire site surveys & design consultations that cannot be done remotely using web based technology are charged at £150* per survey within the M25. (Survey fee refunded on completion of your project with us).
Site surveys & design consultations outside the M25 are dependent upon travel time from our location in Hampshire and likely project requirements. Please call us for an initial discussion and we can confirm a price and time to come and meet with you.
